It’s all back to ours to mark the end of the 2012 Games!
The WE PLAY Expo is a whole weekend of unmissable free events celebrating our region’s unique contribution to London 2012. Everyone’s invited to join the party in Preston 7 – 9 September.
The weekend will have a real festival atmosphere featuring exclusive events and big screen broadcasts of the Closing Ceremony and London 2012 handover to Rio 2016.

The WE PLAY Expo kicks off at 7pm on Friday 9 September in the beautiful setting of Avenham & Miller Parks as part of the historic Preston Guild festival. Let’s show the world we know how to throw a party in the North West – join us in Preston for the party of a lifetime and bring all your friends and family!

Some great sporting talent from the North West is heading to London to represent Team GB in both the Paralympic and Olympic Games.
Old Trafford is playing host to nine football matches during the Games, including two semi-final games.
Passing through eight North West towns on its tour of the country, a host of celebrations and personalities will blaze through the region.
Nations from all over the globe are making use of our top class facilities to train for victory.
